Women Development

An approach has been adopted to strengthen the institutional structure through which SHGs can determine priority needs and decide how best to manage common resources in the interests of the community as a whole.

The activities aim to help the poor women to take advantage of such opportunities by organizing and supporting village level women organisations such as self-help groups (SHGs), building the necessary skills and facilitating access to infrastructure, technical advice and markets. As per the assessment of the potentiality of the area, it has been raveled that the small scale farm and non-farm related activities in a wider scale can create a huge opportunity for women entrepreneurship development and economic sustainability.

The primary objective is to empower women in micro-entrepreneurships by making systematic investments to enhance their participation and productivity, as also create and sustain livelihoods of rural women. By establishing efficient local resource based options, wherein women gain more control over their production resources and manage the support systems, the plan seeks to enable them to gain better access to the inputs and services. RACE belief that once the capacities of women improve, food security ensues for their families and communities.
